RTD (Resitance Thermometer Detector) is a temperature sensor / Thermocouple Heater which is almost similar to a Thermocouple. The advantages of RTD compared to thermocouples are,
1. RTD has a relatively cheaper price because the installation is cheap, so it becomes an option for budget savers.
2. RTD is superior to thermocouple in terms of reading which is more accurate and stable when repeated.
3. RTD receives a stronger signal and it is easier to calibrate RTD readings due to its design.
4. Maximum temperature range is limited to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit
5. There are 500 Ohm and 1000 Ohm RTD series available
6. Can be equipped with various forms of Thermowell from materials SUS 304, SUS 316, SUS 310, SUS 446, Inconel and Titanium.
